… to all our new friends and our returning families. The new school year is always an exciting time filled with wonder, discovery, and yes some anxiety too. It is a good time to remind families that they can call the center at any time and the front desk will connect you with your child’s classroom as quickly as possible. We also encourage you to drop by for a quick peek or a more formal observation.
Ø Children and parents love and need each other, and separating from one another can be painful, even though it’s exciting and challenging. Separation from family is going to go on, in one way or another, throughout all of life. Some families will choose to linger in the classroom while other will do the quick kiss and hug and out the door. There is no right or wrong way. You know your child better than anyone and you will instinctively know what best suits your needs and your child’s needs.
Ø At the end of the day it is important to remember to sign your child out at the front desk. We encourage you to do this on the way to the classroom so you do not have to juggle back-packs, children, toys and notes from the teacher. If you are not too rushed at the end of the day you can have your child show you around the classroom and ask them to point out one or two things they did during the day. This will give you an opportunity to get a glimpse of what your child has been up to all day long.
Ø This time of year is filled with forms and requests for information, your signature, and other things … please bear with us as we struggle through these administrative details.
Ø Please call the center if your child will not be in attendance for a scheduled day, especially if they are ill.

November 23rd & 24th – EACN closed for Thanksgiving Recess
